Right now, sports fans are lucky enough to have the NBA Finals along with the NHL Stanley Cup Finals gracing their television sets. Each game is jam-packed with action that keeps you on the edge of your seat since the team’s entire season comes down to these last couple games.
However, once basketball and hockey end their seasons that means that a majority of sports fans turn their attention to the MLB.
Here in Philadelphia, our boys of summer are certainly keeping things interesting in the NL East, and it’s safe to say some teams are paying close attention to the Phillies this year. However, when baseball is the only thing on, you may be looking for some other sports action to keep you entertained. Continue reading below to check out our ideas on what the avid sports fan can do during the summer.
Tune into MLS games
Not only are MLS games fun to watch, but they are even more entertaining to go to in-person. Soccer matches, even in the United States, are where fans are engaged all game long, with chants, singing, and much more. Our Philadelphia Union play right in Chester, and if you’re looking for a true experience, get tickets where the team’s supporters, the Sons of Ben, sit.
Play Some Golf
During the summer, you can certainly watch your fair share of golf on the television, but why not dust those clubs off and go play a round. If you haven’t hit the links in a while, find the closest driving range and hit a bucket of balls. Who knows, you could be at Tiger Woods’ level in no-time.
Get Ready for Football
Obviously, all of the Eagles fans here in Philadelphia are anxiously anticipating the upcoming season. You can get ready for the season by reading up on all the off-season moves the team made, or by rewatching the championship DVD highlighting the miracle season.
